The Artist
Lily Piper is a Los Angeles-based multi-disciplinary artist, born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky by her Mother and Dutch grandmother. She studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her work has been exhibited in Cincinnati, New York, Forte dei Marmi, and Los Angeles, most recently in a solo presentation with SAV Gallery in West Hollywood.
Her paintings navigate the fundamental impermanence of all things — provoking nostalgia, longing, and a quiet reverence for moments that have already passed. The faces are deliberately blurred, figures caught in time who still carry stories begging to be told, but no longer have a voice unless projected from the mind of the viewer.
Her pollinator poems memorialize the beauty of the honey hive — fallen soldiers collected and lovingly fixed to paper.
All things are connected in Piper's work. The bees pollinate, we keep living, our memories fade, and the cycle continues.
